«Иллюстраторы» медицинских книг, чья жизнь пришлась на давно минувшие века, - куда более радикальные художники, чем любой из наших первертных современников. Миллионы разрубленных икон, чудовищные картины с инцестуальными оргиями, мутанты и двуглавые леди с огненными плетками – все это неоспоримо резонансно, но волнует скорее варварских обывателей и наркотических эстетов. Другое дело какой-нибудь Гуильо Кассери (1552-1616) или Магнус Хундт (1449-1519). Подобные персонажи не редко имели дело с похищенными трупами. Рисуя их, они совершали героический, предельно радикальный акт во имя Знания. И такое искусство, безусловно, заслуживает не просто уважения, но покорного трепета, ведь, к сожалению, времена рисующих героев ушли безвозвратно.
